The usual procession of public-health grifters, billionaire-funded NGOs, and anti-nicotine cult disciples swarmed into Geneva for COP11, armed with their ritual mix of propaganda, creative fiction, and anti-science zealotry. But this year, something changed. For the first time, more countries pushed back against the ideological 🐂💩 than blindly nodded along. The “word of the day” was harm reduction? and no amount of chanting from the high priests of prohibition could make it disappear. ⸻ The Dirty Ashtray Farce Hits New Levels of Absurdity New Zealand, one of the two most successful countries on Earth in reducing smoking, rivalled only by Sweden, was bizarrely awarded the “Dirty Ashtray Award.” Why? Because they didn’t bow down to the cult leaders’ anti-harm-reduction scripture. Think about that: The country with historic declines in smoking is punished for not joining a war against the very tools that drove that progress. Nothing exposes the ideological rot faster than attacking success because it doesn’t fit the narrative. ⸻ Cult Leaders in Disarray: Scrambling to Rewrite Their Own Bible COP11’s leadership wandered around like stunned rats on a sinking ship, desperately trying to figure out how to erase or reinterpret Article 1(d) of their own treaty?the section that explicitly recognises harm reduction. But they couldn’t. Too many parties stood up and said, in diplomatic language: “Your prohibitionist fantasy is harming people. Harm reduction is essential.” This left the cult inner circle mumbling something like: “Uh… yeah… okay… we’ll deal with that next time. COP12. In two years. Promise.” Translation: We’re losing control, and we need more time to re-write the rules to match our ideology. ⸻ Meanwhile in Australia: The WHO’s Favourite Failed Experiment While the WHO elite applauded their compliant disciples, they conveniently ignored the disaster unfolding in Australia: •Smoking rates rising for the first time in decades •An 80% takeover of the retail tobacco market by organised crime •Record arson attacks, violence, extortion, and turf wars •A thriving illicit vape and tobacco market created entirely by prohibition And yet… Australia is celebrated as the golden child of the FCTC cult. The country where harm reduction is illegal, smoking is resurging, and criminals now run the nicotine market is somehow the model to follow. You really can’t script satire better than this. ⸻ The Tide Is Turning, Even If the Cult Pretends Not to Notice COP11 showed a clear shift: More countries than ever are rejecting the anti-science, anti-harm-reduction crusade being pushed by the same handful of loud, well-funded extremists. The façade is cracking. The ideology is collapsing. And the world is finally seeing the difference between public health and public-health theatre. Two years until COP12. Two years for the cult to scramble, rewrite, spin, and panic. But harm reduction isn’t going anywhere, and neither are the millions of people whose lives depend on it.
