Can confirm Stripe & Advent have made a $53b approach to PayPal. Paypal, thus far, has been disinterested in engaging with the approach, per people familiar. Unclear why, but price could obviously be a concern — $PYPL sits at 5 year lows and is in the midst of a turnaround plan.
