Here is the thing with all the AI infrastructure (picks and shovel) plays at the moment, they are short term and the data center builds are long term. They will end up being bad investments. The compounding of operational efficiency in the AI models is super efficient and soon, 2-5 years, compute won't be a constraint (short term on frontier training) and infrastructure will be overbuilt with aging tech. The .com and enterprise software eras are the "historical rhymes." Also, why chip companies where so cheap before the AI hype.

The look I got from some other professors when we were speaking about work ethic and growing up. I told them I used to scrub the tar off my dad's oil rig trucks with desiel when I was 12 for a few bucks on take me to work day. Blue collar runs deep... it's in the blood.

@mitchellcmorris I took a class with an operations professor and he said that you need to start adding capacity once you reach 70-75%, because processes are too brittle at 100% capacity; one hiccup and everything grinds to a halt. Really stuck with me
