@the_thagomizer "Sustainable Process (Improvement)" Tends a bit academic leaning than business, but a useful opening term to find a wealth of business research. researchgate.net/publication/32… is a fav paper of mine for the title alone, and a reasonable entryway into the lingo.

@NicolaLindgren There's a moment in a TestBash Panel I was on in 2020 where I hold my iPad up from off camera and state "I prepped an answer for this one" and then after about a minute or so go like "... and I've lost my train of thought ... let's go back to what I wrote down"

@NicolaLindgren Oh yeah; I haven't done a solo standalone AMA at a conference, but I've done a lot of panels and I'll average ~6 pages of personal notes for being on a panel, covering - Expected and/or prepped questions - A few gentle scripts - References and names with pronunciation guides.

@NicolaLindgren This approach can also give you a really clean out as well of like "When I look for answers in this direction, I turn to the works of <person, person and or person> to help me" so who is asking the question also has next steps from that moment to find their own answers.

@NicolaLindgren I do this a lot within the workplace when it's like you're on a synchronous video call and the spotlight is on to immediately answer a deep question; it's basically "here's the seed of where I'd go to answer that, and it'll be fledged out <today/tomorrow/this week/this month>"

I've had many conversations this week in which it's been important to gently deflect well wishers from "I hope you and yours have a restful weekend to recover" to "Recovery isn't a goal in my family. We're wishing for stability and agency"

@duckalini @bigshika @ChrisObiOne The fun thing about that specific thing, is that at the time I was fully armoured closet and the same folks who couldn't read the QUEER AF vibes of @duckalini were like "oh, you're an 'ally', you should get involved in thing"
