For PS5, most games install from the disc to your system. For the majority of games, this is how it works. You are not putting the disc in for it to then prompt the system to download the game from PSN. The data is on the disc.

Digital games should come with real consumer protection. If a store can remove access, players deserve a full refund. No excuses. Digital ownership needs real rights.

@DoesItPlay1 Yea never understand it. Back in ps4 era RDR2 released on 2 discs for 100% offline. Most ps5 games are like that but go to 2026 and they put a smidget on disc and call it a day one patch. That’s why I use your site buying physical. I want100% offline.

@PlayStation man be cool. I been with ya since scph-7501. I have a large digital and physical library just on ps4/ps5. I enjoy playing them. I chose you cause of resident evil back in the 90’s. I still got my ps3 and (2) ps5 consoles. Thanks for the memories. Still gaming now.

Hey #Playstation, Why not outsource the disc and disk drive making to a third party like @LimitedRunGames. You can release your games digitally day 1 and people who want physical games can preorder and get the game with all patches/updates on the disc(s). Works for everyone.

@DoesItPlay1 I have 2 ps5 disc editions on 13.00. Just waiting for something special and I just got back today buying 120.00 worth of physical discs ps4 and ps5 formats. I am also buying the physical discs of the digital versions I already “rented”.

@gezine_dev hey dude. Just stating what is on my mind. I applaud what you and the other devs/hackers can do with this. I am totally lost but I admire your work and progress. Wish it was back in simpler times with a solder iron and a chip. DMS4 and teensy 2.0. Remember them days.
