We don’t talk about it enough, but there’s privilege expectations in some PhD programs. Chastising students for wanting to work > 20hrs is overlooking racial and socioeconomic inequities that can hinder overall life and educational success.

4 years of therapy, nearly a year of trying medication, and I was just now given a new neurodivergent diagnosis this morning. The mental health journey is long, complicated, expensive, and exhausting.
A reminder that a handful of counseling center sessions/yr is not enough.
