@turndecassette Settings app > Accessibility > Display > Color filters (and you should be able to pick the exact color and intensity)

@ryanlintott Typically I look at modifying accessibilityElements in the parent view if possible and then battling focus states. But yeah I don’t know of any in built solution and am curious if one even exists.

@ryanlintott I see this occur a lot, typically in collection/tableViews. I believe it’s because the elements in the a11y tree/hierarchy changed and VO defaults to picking the first element in a new hierarchy. You can use the Inspector/view debugger to see this happen.

@ryanlintott Happy to help! That’s interesting - I always thought it was an accepted char. In that case yes - it is indeed working on both widget and app. Worth noting that VoiceOvers caption still prints Hello but verbalizes the IPA

@ryanlintott Well on the bright side the behavior is consistent between app and widget now 🤷‍♂️ just not the behavior we’d want. This was on an iPhone X and I did change voices/locales to see if that helped, but no difference

@ryanlintott In digging around a little, the same issue seems to happen with AVSpeechSynthesizer on iOS16 where “ga” is silent. Also this only seems to happen with “ga” - “gɑ” seems to work with both VO and synthesizer

@ryanlintott Yeah the video I sent captures the above and then I rotor to go over words and it still states “hello”. If you let VO hover it actually recognizes hello but doesn’t say either hello or ga. I’ll send another with the caption panel to confirm
