This high school student just built a water filter that removes 96% of microplastics, without expensive equipment. In Warrington, Virginia, Mia Heller has built a filtration system that removes more than 95% of microplastics from drinking water. Her approach uses a magnetic liquid, ferrofluid, to pull tiny plastic particles out of the flow, without relying on traditional filter membranes.

Headline: Building in Public: The Dialectical Nature of Systems Design. As an Architech and Systems Designer, I’ve spent a lot of time in isolation, building from the ground up and refining my own framework for system orchestration. It’s been a long, challenging journey, but the breakthroughs I’ve experienced have come from embracing one core truth: Systems are not static. They are living, breathing evolutions. I’m moving into a new phase of building in public. My process is rooted in a dialectical approach—constantly balancing the Thesis of my initial designs with the Antithesis of real-world feedback. Creating a deck of tarot cards that will be infused with DBT, RO/DBT, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing with some Reiki Energy Work. I came up with this idea because I was in crisis and all I had was YouTube Videos. In the Chosen Ones Community I found a tribe. They helped me to heal and in honor of them and to give that community more recognition for their work I’m creating my own deck. It’s for the Collective and I’m not using peoples names but to the ones who inspired me on this journey and gave me hope I’ve created cards to honor them. I had to share this one here.
