@asangelwassayin á (acute accent) indicates high tone
a or ā (macron accent) indicates mid (aka falling / rising or down stepped) tone
à (grave accent) indicates low tone.
It is necessary to write these accents on top of all vowels IN ADDITION to dots below when the vowels are class A vowels.
@asangelwassayin This statement is particularly wrong.
— You cannot write "àsúsú". It is supposed to be "asụsụ"
All the vowels in asusu are class 1 / class A / short vowels, and so must be written with dots underneath, and all vowels must indicate tone, so asụsụ still needs accents on top.
@desmond1a1a @sugabelly Here’s Chibuike written in two ways.
1. Chibuike as chi bu ike.
2. Chibuike how it’s usually pronounced as chi b’ike
You can crop out the English explanatory text if you want only the Ndebe script part.

@tweetsofAce_ @sugabelly You’re not completing your consonants.
The L in Lo is made up of two parts.
And so should look like this before you add a vowel.
To add the vowel you need the vowel tone.
In this case, we know the O in Lo is a mid tone, because it’s not a low tone yet lower than the A in Ta.
