Le prof décide que c'est injuste et donne à tout le monde la moyenne de la classe : 11. Celui qui avait 18 arrête de bosser. Pourquoi se fatiguer si ça change rien ? Celui qui avait 4 continue de rien faire. Pourquoi bosser si on te donne 11 gratuitement ? L'année suivante la moyenne de la classe est à 7. Puis 5. Puis 3. Le prof ne comprend pas. Il pense que le problème c'est que les élèves ne sont pas assez solidaires. Alors il met en place des punitions pour ceux qui ne font pas assez d'efforts. Il surveille tout le monde. Il décide qui étudie quoi. Il interdit de changer de classe. C'est exactement ce qui s'est passé. À chaque fois. Dans chaque pays. Sans exception. URSS, Chine, Cuba, Venezuela, Corée du Nord, Cambodge, Éthiopie, Allemagne de l'Est. 40 tentatives. Même résultat. À chaque fois. Le socialisme punit ceux qui produisent et récompense ceux qui ne produisent pas. Tout le monde finit par ne plus produire. Et quand plus personne ne produit, le gouvernement utilise la force pour obliger les gens à travailler. C'est pas un accident. C'est le design.

Hypocrisy I rarely won any prizes in school except for a writing competition in 1969. It was titled Hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is behaviour that does not truly reflect one's belief, a feigning of what one is not. Little did I realise that I would grow up in a country where many of its leaders are “hypocrites.” This long-standing behaviour and attitude have caused financial loss to the community and the country. The latest is the prohibition of brewery companies from donating to Chinese schools. The Education Ministry also prohibits schools from receiving aid from gaming companies. This deprives vernacular schools of receiving much-needed financial help as the government does not fund these schools. Except for some cash donations if there is an election coming Chinese schools have contributed immensely to the development of the country's workforce needs. Bumiputra enrolment in vernacular schools has also increased. Yet our hypocritical leaders would not fund the schools and, worse still, prohibit them from receiving donations But they received money from big tycoons who made it by gaming and doing unkosher activities (“ haram.) They look forward to bags of cash for their kawasan. It's a political donation. That is permitted. The government issued licences for many gaming and alcohol businesses and gleefully collected taxes. It even generously allowed slot machines to high-end clubs so these clubs could fund their activities. Hypocrisy is the result of pretending that this is a religious country. The leaders have to pretend to keep their religious image, and they do so by rejecting alcohol and gaming donations to schools. But they used the same sin money to fund their election and expensive holidays. I won't be surprised if Blackrock would fund their reelection. Blackrock is not a brewery, they would say; it funds war machines like rockets and bombs that kill women and children MCA Youth Chief said that the country needs practical and moderate leaders when commenting on the issue of school donations. That is true. Equally important is they are less hypocritical. That's why I keep advocating for MCA to have a working relationship with PAS. When PAS leaders have power at the federal level, they will appreciate more the financial contribution generated by the haram activities( which are plentiful). They would appreciate more the need to partner with the Chinese community, which has networking skills and ready money. Then, they become less hypocritical. Money/wealth is an excellent lubricant that can reduce the level of hypocrisy in our society

What checks & balances are there if you have councillors appointed by the same government at the state level instead of being elected at the local level?
