Even if I can plug into the port with an adapter it’s a good thing to have for those without battery backup at their home. Why spend so much money if your electricity “sometimes” goes out? There are a ton of reasons people would want PowerShare or adapter to plug not just those with powerwalls

A lot to unpack: -the target audience is BMW enthusiasts who don’t want a Tesla - the price point and OEM along with new EV platform mean a lower number of units will be produced compared to previous ICE models in same class - people spending $80k or more don’t care as much about efficiency and would be fine paying more for electricity costs due to heavier car and less efficient motor , and want range - why can’t BMW make it sexy and lose the slanted screens , not sure why they do this other than to assume they want to be different for the sake of it

The elite should not miss by so much. That being said I also think penalties are too close and should be moved to the 18 to give a goalie more of a chance at saving it . I used to play goalie as a kid so I’m biased but even for a handball in the box , a super close penalty kick shouldn’t decide a game

Am I missing something? Seems to me the document outlines cybercab (which is AI4) is level 4 (there isn’t any way a human can intervene to be level 1/2/3). All AI4 model Y on the road being used as a robo taxi seem to be working same way. If there isn’t a person in the drivers seat while the car is operating how would an autonomous car be considered lower than AI4? The SAE guidelines state that for SAE level 3 “when the feature requests, you must drive”. sae.org/news/blog/sae-…

Maybe it could begin safety pullover and screen prompt to keep FSD engaged or not . At the end of the day how does anyone know the true intent of the driver ? They are pressing the go pedal, by pressing it down you are effectively making a decision how the car is manually accelerating . Do we really think the drivers are unintentionally pressing the pedal and thinking because it’s in FSD mode it will stop ? Maybe

I’m fine with a restriction while FSD is engaged but the result would still probably be the same, if it disengages FSD the driver would probably still drive it into a wall. It already beeps and freaks out when you press the pedal and keep going over the limit for a certain number of seconds and it turns off FSD for the rest of the drive .
