Newlogic is proud to support the digital transformation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (#4Ps), as a key milestone was recently reached in Central Visayas with the successful pilot testing of the program’s re-engineered digital platform. The three day activity marked an important step from system preparation to real world implementation. It included hands-on testing, live database exercises, and field visits to gather real time feedback from program teams on the ground. Through the OpenSPP platform, Newlogic is supporting the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in modernizing the systems behind one of the Philippines’ largest social protection programs, helping strengthen how services reach millions of households across the country. We are grateful for the strong engagement and leadership of DSWD Field Office VII, led by Regional Director Shalaine Marie S. Lucero, CESO IV, together with Assistant Regional Director for Operations Jiah Sayson and Assistant Regional Director for Administration Tonyson Luther Lee. We also thank the central office for their support, including Assistant Secretary for ICT and CIO Johannes Paulus B. Acuña and Alnair Isauro V. Espinosa from the Beneficiary Data Management Division. Newlogic was honoured to participate in the third edition of the #DigitalEconomyForum, organised in Bangkok by @USAID, @DAIGlobal, #DCCP, and @MangoTangoAsia, and to have the opportunity to discuss Digital Public Infrastructure (#DPI) and its essential role in the transformation of the #ASEAN region's approach to e-governance and the digital economy 💻 🌐. Thanks to the participating experts and different chambers of commerce, we were able to exchange on the progress and challenges of the upcoming Digital Economic Framework Agreement #DEFA. We highlighted how foundational DPI building blocks, like digital identity, verifiable credentials, and secure digital payments, can enhance government services, trade efficiency, and boost private sector development. These are stepping stones towards an interconnected, accessible, and efficient digital economy. As a technology advisor, Newlogic believes in leveraging Digital Public Goods (#DPGs) and open-source technologies to develop strong Digital Public Infrastructure that will enable smoother transactions, enhance digital trust, and ensure that every stakeholder benefits from the digital transformation, and a more connected and inclusive social and economic landscape in ASEAN.
