@TeeTimesPub @richiebratton Hueber made an average of $40k per year during his KF years, and more like $20k per year for his active pro years. I can see only one year where he even likely did more than break even. I'm not sure that's really making a living without some backers.

@TeeTimesPub @richiebratton Koivun is likely making 3 times that this year. I don't really see a problem with guys who never quite made a living on pro golf playing mid-ams. Their options for competitive golf are pretty limited otherwise, especially if they don't go the pga pro route.

@procaddiecoach @acaseofthegolf1 What are you talking about? I go to 15-20 a year and see at least 10-20+ per tournament if the grass is wet or potentially wet.

@acaseofthegolf1 @RyanPohle He sure narrowly missed useful status on a lot of avenues. It's part of what makes this part of the game great though. On the plus side he's created a high enough profile to get some more sponsors exemptions next year and Monday Q's will still be there another year.

@Surge313 @yy67045767 @BrentleyGC That changed for 2025. Not sure if the 2025 or 2024 rule would apply in this case. The top 10 finishers and ties, including amateurs, to be granted access to the next Open event, rather than the top-10 professionals.

@acaseofthegolf1 It does seem like the KF and Q School grads will get much better status with this new setup, and will have a better opportunity to keep their cards. I think that is a positive.

It can't show games in home territories, as that is where the Hurricanes get their local TV revenue from their sports network. It's nothing to do with selling tickets or how far you are from the game.

@SportsTVRatings You'd think they'd have to realize that those customers aren't coming back. On the other hand losing 10% of your customers and doubling your profit margin without Disney carriage fees isn't so bad if they think a non-ESPN DTV is sustainable.

@SportsTVRatings Sinclair managed to bankrupt their RSNs without bankrupting themselves. Some NBC sportsnets were basically unwound and handed over to the team. What's to stop Charter from trying something similar? Also, how much does Dodger ownership share in the losses?

@SportsTVRatings @BowTiedSharky SNY isn't owned by the Mets anymore and the Wilpon family wants out of it. Once it starts losing too much money, it will likely fold. I don't know how much longer NBC will want to keep the Phillies and Giants channels afloat.
