On 31st July I chanted Lalitha Sahasranamam and Saundarya Lahari. On 1st August I chanted Sundarkand from Ramcharitamanas. On 2nd August I chanted verses from the Bhagawad Geeta. On 3rd August when I woke up.at 5.30 am, I felt dizzy when I got out of bed and stumbled towards the washroom. I had to hold on to the wall as my steps faltered. It remained this way till noon when I contacted a doc friend who advised me some meds but told me to go to the hospital if the feeling doesn't subside in a couple of hours. It didn't and I was throwing up too. So at 8.30 pm, I went to the Emergency room of a nearby hospital. They advised an MRI to check for brain stroke and Troponin test to rule out acute heart issues along with other blood tests. I had never visited a hospital since the delivery of my second son in 2003 so I was all nerves. I chanted the Hanuman chalisa and Mrutyunjaya mantra during the MRI session. All results turned out normal but I needed to meet the ENT and the neurologist to figure out the treatment. With each day I have got better while still on meds. I probably need to undergo one more test to check the internal balance of the ear. Today, by Bajrangbali 's grace, I managed to chant Sundarkand again. You can look at this whole episode in two ways. A skeptic could say that clearly my prayers did not help since I fell ill soon after. A faithful would say that it is the prayers which saved me from a bigger disaster that was waiting to happen. There are no right answers. When you have faith, there should be no doubt. When there is doubt, there is no faith. I have never feared God. I visited a Toyota showroom yesterday to buy an Innova HyCross. Everything was going smoothly until I told the salesman that I would buy my car insurance from outside. His response completely surprised me. He said, "I can't sell you the car if you don't buy the insurance from us. If you buy our insurance, then I can sell it. Otherwise, I won't be able to." Why should customers be forced to buy dealership insurance when the same coverage can be available outside for 40 to 50 percent less? Buying an Innova HyCross should be my choice. Choosing where to buy my insurance should also be my choice. Has anyone else experienced this while buying a new toyota car?

I walked into the dealership today to take delivery of my brand-new car. I walked out without it. All banking formalities were completed and the full payment for my Maruti Suzuki Victoris had already been made. Naturally, I expected a brand-new, defect-free vehicle. However, during the pre-delivery inspection, I noticed visible scratches around the headlamp area and a few other issues. I declined delivery and made a simple request: Please replace this vehicle with another brand-new, defect-free unit. The response was surprising: "The vehicle cannot be replaced because the registration and insurance have already been processed on this chassis number." My question to @Maruti_Corp @MSArenaOfficial is simple: Why should a customer bear the consequences of a dealer's administrative haste when the customer has not even accepted delivery of the vehicle?? A customer pays for a new car, not a compromised one. I am not asking for any special favour. I am only asking for what every customer deserves, a brand-new, defect-free vehicle. I hope Maruti Suzuki will resolve this matter fairly and reinforce customer trust. What do you think? A FLIGHT THAT I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER - a beautiful story (a slightly long read)! Last week, on my flight from Delhi to Pune, I experienced a moment I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I had just settled into my window seat when a little boy, no older than seven, stopped beside me, holding his father’s hand. “Uncle… if it’s okay, can I please sit by the window?” Before I could answer, his father immediately said, “I’m so sorry, sir. Please don’t feel obliged. He’s been asking since we entered the airport. It’s completely alright if you’d like to keep your seat.” I smiled. "It’s yours, champ.” His face lit up instantly. He rushed to the window, pressed his little hands against the glass for a few moments, smiled… and then, just a few minutes after take-off, rested his head on his father’s shoulder and quietly fell asleep. He slept through almost the entire flight. About twenty minutes before landing, his father looked at me and smiled. "I guess he didn’t make much use of your window seat.” “That’s alright,” I replied. “He must have been exhausted.” There was a brief silence. “He is,” his father said softly. “We’ve spent the last eight months in Delhi. He’s been undergoing treatment for severe aplastic anemia at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre. There were days we didn’t know if we’d ever make this journey home.
