@RickyWinsKO @sagathena Yeah I won't agree with people saying the games becoming crossover slop or whatever, as most crossovers are their own secluded content. I just don't like the fact both raids are being dedicated as collaborations this time. If they wanted to make one be like that then fine.

When most collaborations in the past have been a glorified advertisement, and barely blend to the world. (If at all), there's a reason people expect the upcoming collaboration to be a glorified advertisement. Especially when it's just conveniently starting right around the same time as the final part of the remake trilogy. I like the Final fantasy 11 raids because I play Final fantasy 11. But I will sit here and tell you they were a blatant advertisement to try and get more people into the game. (Though it admittedly worked lol)

I don't do current Savage just because I don't have the time to invest in prog. And I don't have a static. It's literally that simple lol. I don't think people realize most players don't care about the really higher end content. And I do like how they're actually trying to add a middle ground difficulty now.

@manwee__ Just adding, if you play with a controller the camera essentially works exactly like this. And it just switches back to overhead for combat, which is better for this type of game anyway.

This. It blows my mind how many people miss this point. Like I don't mind if they wanted to do one raid as a collaboration. But raids are almost always made to expand Final fantasy 14's world itself. I'd be okay if just one raid was a collaboration. And now that we're starting a completely brand new story saga with this expansion, they could benefit greatly from sticking to using a raid series to expand the lore.

@amalavijgnana If people want the camera angle like this, they just need to switch to using a controller. The game essentially plays exactly like this if you use a one lol. And it just changes to over head for combat. Which Is objectively better for a game like this anyway.

Literally just use a controller if you want this lol. You can on the ground camera angles and free movement.

I've been playing Baldur's Gate 3 this way for a long time, and it's an absolute blast. Larian, I genuinely love you and your games. But I think it's time to seriously reconsider what players have been asking for. The popularity of the WASD movement and Native Camera Tweaks mods

It's a good way to kick back and relax lol. Especially if you have a good speaker system or a good set of headphones. Because the ambient sound design for this game is actually surprisingly great. So keep the music kind of low but where you can still hear it, and just listen to the environment. You'll hear birds, insects, wind, rustling in the plants, etc.

Short personal rant. I see a lot of people who are completely misunderstanding why some of us don't like the fact both raids are collaborations this expansion for ff14. Most collaboration content in this game has always been done through events, or their own special set of quests. Raids have almost always been done exclusively to expand the world of Final fantasy 14 itself. Do many of them include influences and themes of other games? Yes. But they're spun in a way that makes it fit directly into Final fantasy 14. Not direct inserts. There are exceptions like the neir or ff11 alliance raids. But these are just that.. Exceptions. If they wanted one of the raids to be a collaboration, that's perfectly fine. But one of them should still be made to expand the ff14 world it's self. And I'm not saying to raids won't be fun. They probably will be. But it's simply that many of us do not want both raids being collaborations that have no impact or make any notable addition to the game itself. If you're happy about both raids being like this, okay enjoy them. But just how yall have the right to be happy and talk about them, we have the right to not be as happy about it and also voice our opinions as well.

With one of them being a glorified advertisement. There have been a few raids like this in the past, neir or the recent Final fantasy 11 for example. But most raids are done explicitly to expand Final fantasy 14 itself. Yes they may bring in themes and elements of other games, however they are not direct inserts and are done in ways to be spun into Final fantasy XIV's own world and narrative. Most actual collaboration events have always been their own unique content. I'm perfectly okay if they wanted one of the raids to be a collaboration, but both of them should not.

Those were almost always isolated events and quest chains. Not entire months worth of content. That's the difference y'all seem to keep ignoring. Fall guys didn't get two years with a raid content. Stuff like that's not even comparable. Most raids have always been done to expand the world of the game itself. Yes some of them have themes and influences from other games, but they're done in a way that it's still Final fantasy XIV. There have only been a few like the narrates or the recent Final fantasy XI raids that are straight collaborations. And no one's saying doing one of them is bad. We just don't like the fact that both raids are collaborations, and one is essentially just a glorified advertisement.

The sad thing is, it's already partially existed in the game for years lol. The only difference is you occasionally have to change your direction. They're just updating it and adding a pathing system now. So you no longer have to change direction occasionally. And he simple fact they try to use this as a reason to talk about job design, shows it's a case of another person who has no actual criticism. It's just another doom poster looking for attention. I'm replaying the game on an alt, and I love to use the auto run feature and disable my hud. Just to take in the sights lol.

@FINALReNIX @ZestyXIV Im replaying the game with an alt, and almost always use it lol. Going through the older areas with the new graphics overhaul is nice. So I'll set auto run, turn off hud, and listen to the music and take in the sights lol. The game is genuinely beautiful. So it's fun to do this
