A problem I have seen is how radicals use unpopular events like the Iran war to infiltrate mainstream political movements. A leftist who opposes the Iran war is not the same as a moderate liberal or conservative. Leftists want Iran to win as they see Iran as a state that opposes “US imperialism.” Meanwhile moderates want to give Iran as little as possible because they see it as a threat to global stability and US interests. But both operate under the umbrella of “anti-war,” which ultimately launders the leftist view into the mainstream. People need to remain vigilant with who are your “allies.”
