Guys I'm struggling... I've debugged a very technical issue with my @CORSAIR Virtuoso headset and their iCUE 5 software. Their software doesn't appear to map older Virtuoso headsets and their receivers... "N'Yuuki, what does that even mean..." Well friends! That means that if you install iCUE 5.xx with a Virtuoso Black/White/Pearl/SE Brown/SE Gunmetal/XT Gunmetal it will likely only install the receiver module because that's the first thing it sees. You have to plug the headset in and switch to WIRED mode to get the Headset module to install. It prompts you to restart and then TRAPS you in a freakin' restart loop so you can never update your iCUE software or install plugins. (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ 💢💢 As someone who's been dealing with this since the launch of v5 I finally decided to dig into the files. Their packaged SQLite file appear to be holding on to a stale reboot_required entry that I'm not sure if I change will blow the whole thing up. 👀 "Just report it forehead!" ALKSDJFSLKDFJ!! I have. I've got active tickets open about it but the struggle is real. It'd be super swanky if someone on the iCUE team could see me yelling into the void... Hello? Just nod if you can hear me... 🎶🎵 Anyway, I might just say TO HELL WITH IT and pull the ripcord because my brain might actually start melting out my nose if I have to do one more Full Uninstall and Fresh Re-install. 🫠💀 Wish me luck in case I end up fubaring the whole thing. 🧡

Unless it has a hinged door on the front that you can open up RQ to pull that stray piece of hair you can see flapping from your fans and driving you crazy... I'd disagree. But it sure is purdy! 😂😂😂

@exisbread Numbers are all she cares about so I'm not shocked she dropped a second "apology". pretty sure she's the one that talked about how she makes a personal list of ppl that unfollow her or something... it was crazy behaviour... so it all tracks.😅

A few weeks ago I was collateral damage in a bot purge so I know appeal hell well. It's stressful! The best advice that I can give is literally keep trying. It can take 3-5 days to get a reply, sometimes longer, but you can also send in subsequent appeals every 24-48 hrs. Even if it gets turned down, appeal again. Their system is basically AI powered so other users from Reddit were having success (or seeming to) by having Grok/GPT help write the appeals or a sequence of appeals based on the facts. Basically AI to counter AI. Hopefully he gets his account back!

@AuroraTheBunnie This pisses me off. As someone who got caught in bot purge and had to fight through appeal hell, I know how stressful that is. Now that toxic community is putting this kid through that too... 😡😡😡😡

@devxro @Vulpixia Yeah, let's not do this. Credentials aside, if this is indeed factual, and possibly an "oops" on their part, you're participating in actively doxxing someone's real name/photo by pointing to the repo where it can be found. Blurring the name isn't helping here. 🫤

@exisbread That's totally fair. I get why people would be wary when the narrative there has shifted. I was more talking about the broader framing around the tools since the spaces tend to treat them pretty differently.

Bear in mind, when talking specifically about AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, etc.), that the dev/programming space treats them very differently than the VTuber/Art sphere does. They're much more normalized there as tools to enhance workflows and productivity, even in high level environments. That doesn't mean there aren't obvious concerns around its usage, or that people aren't responsible for what they ship, but the stigma and mindset is generally different. If you use them, ideally you'd have the fundamentals to review the output, squish any bugs, and spot obvious vulnerabilities. It's that foundation that lets you guide the project instead of letting it go completely off the rails. 😅 If you're using them without fully understanding the output, then definitely have someone who does understand it audit things before going live.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THAT ADHD APP FROM THAT VTUBER aside from the CC misleading their AI usage, they are not a coder- there is ALOT of security issues where anyone can easily hack or infiltrate the site im linking the source but i censored a word cause i hated the usage for it

I never said dataset concerns don't matter or that every coding adjacent community feels the same way. I did say "That doesn't mean there aren't obvious concerns around its usage." I was talking broadly about how AI coding tools are treated in general dev spaces vs how AI is treated in VTuber/Art spaces.

Yup, if someone doesn't have the fundamentals it's very easy to end up going in the wrong direction with these tools. You can end up blindsided when things you didn't know to know about end up surfacing. Having someone do a full pass audit before going live in that case is the best call.
