SEEMS REASONABLE: The NAACP is encouraging Black athletes to avoid playing in states where Republicans are attacking Black voting rights. This call is giving sports enthusiasts in the MAGA world a conniption. The list of states where Republicans have launched assaults on Black voting rights includes major athletic powerhouses in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. The NAACP urged students to consider attending historically Black colleges and universities instead. College sports, and especially college football, are a key source of income and pride for several states, and a boycott could pose an obvious threat to their cash cow. Maybe consider treating your state's Black citizens as people worth listening to, and you wouldn't be in this position. Too bad, so sad, but you've brought it upon yourselves with your arrogance and unearned sense of superiority.
