@CoachBombayy Maybe the women’s team but even then he’s too soft. Also he’s not really Canadian. Also he wouldn’t be close to making the top 6 in Canada even if Canada iced 3 national teams. We know WN won’t (can’t) play a checking role.

@jonjohnson Just want to draw distinction between grassroots clubs offering academies vs those only providing academies at exorbitant prices and selling false dreams. Most grassroots clubs lose money year after year, rely on government funding, and their top people aren’t getting rich.

@jonjohnson You can do both. Provide superior training opportunities and environment for those that want it and yet not diminish the offering for the remaining players. Reality is the top tier of most grassroots program represents closer to 10-15% of players in a certain age group.

@jonjohnson Certified and professional coaches won’t work for free. That’s really the biggest different in the cost structure for most clubs. Volunteer vs paid staff. And you can attach a small margin of 10-20% depending for the academy programming.

@kyledupedus You are. I personally can’t wait for it to end so the slate can be wiped clean. Bunting, Kase and Kampf are not the answer. And the goaltending is still questionable. Playoff team probably, but not much more than that.

@Ryenote @domluszczyszyn The focus should be on the fans that ultimately foot the bill. Players steal joy from fans and other players because of their singular greed. The salary cap exists to provide balance and parity which creates a stronger league. This isn’t the proletariat. Nobody is going hungry.

@FultonReed6 @alfred_jens Also people forget or maybe don’t know Dubas had an issue with his Soo Greyhounds around players involved in some bad stuff. They too were never convicted. He sang a different tune then (back when nobody was watching and his image as great human wasn’t keeping him employed).
