Commander Marie ⁽ᴿᴾ⁾ (Parody) @onwingsofdeath

Thank you, lady Emma. Ivar asked me to dress as a character I identify with most. And I'm not big on princes, but I know what it's like to dig peas out of ashes...

She might be joined by Cinderella, although she doesn't know the rules yet.

You’re fine, Marie. Don’t mind her. She’s being silly.

An old woman??

@ABeguilingRose "Oh." A slight note of disappointment as Marie didn't find Ivar in the room. "I got this." She placed the tray of meringues on the table, and reached into her pocket to get the figurine she had been given. She returned it to Emma. "Have you sent it?"

@ABeguilingRose < while she made her way backstage, to the room she was asked to meet... Ivar?

@ABeguilingRose < and after the war she had lost it all again. Almost. She now knew who she was, what she was capable of doing. No longer just a pickpocket and little rascal. She brought some meringues into the theater. Stolen - of course. She offered them to the actors and actresses, >

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger "It looks like... a Viking." No, not quite. The man had no markings that would make him look so. "Ancient somehow."

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger "No." This was easy. She had seen her share of soldiers, but they all would wear waistcoats and has guns, and fancy boots over tight pants. This one... she looked at his boots. "Wait it does remind me of something. I know someone who wears shoes and pants like these." Ivar did.

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger "I woke up where you found me." She frowned, thinking. Then suddenly went faster and approached a body on the ground. A dead soldier, in knee long shirt and chain mail, with a primitive looking iron helmet. She turned him around. "They don't wear this in France do they?"

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger She laughed drily. "I hope not. I swore myself to never go there again." She was looking around in hopes to find a path or road. "If this isn't France, it must be Britain. I heard it's always cold and wet there."

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger < wanting to stay anywhere near that beast. Then she blurted out: "You can't be. The prince is in Portugal. But thank you anyway."

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger That explained the similarity. Was she supposed to bow? She was supposed to bow wasn't she? But instead, she grabbed Philippe's arm and pulled him out of the way, just before a man-sized spider dropped where they had been. Brows furrowed, she continued to walk for a bit, not >

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger "Do I live around here?!" She slightly raised her voice, but then flinched a little and lowered it again when she thought she had seen the web above her tremble. Hopefully it was just the wind. "I live in Paris? And you? You look like the king."

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger "You have a knife don't you?" She was bratty as always, and probably even more so as she was scared. "I have no emotional connection to my nightgown. But I like my hand."

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger "Noted." She was grumpy now. She hated feeling helpless. Glaring at the nets and waiting for help, she suddenly wondered aloud: "If these spider threads are thick enough to catch people... what do you think the spider looks like?"

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger So this was what a fly felt like when it was caught in a net, she noted. The more she tried to pull her wrist free, the more her rugged gown got entangled in the sticky mess. She groaned, frustrated, and maybe, a teeny tiny little scared. "Yes. Stuck in a bug feeder."

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger < rags - which she wore as nightgown - out of the webs, her wrist got caught in a thicker string, holding her like she was tied to the tree. "I just lost my knife. Have you seen it?" She wasn't even sure she had her knife with her.

@DucDePhilippe @boneless_anger The young woman huffed, as she heard the voice of the other. "No, I don't," she yelled back. But she might. She had woken up surrounded by spider webs, and while she neither minded the occasional spider... these were huge. And also quite sticky. As she tried to pull the dirty >
