@naomibrockwell A major shift is required in how apps store data. Instead of centralized dbs, an open source p2p db such as OrbitDB stores all data locally, and, can be encrypted by the owner of the data. No reliance on 3rd party servers. Everything runs locally.

Shipped Phase B of Decent Portfolio this weekend. The frontend now joins the IPFS swarm directly where browsers pull the OrbitDB database into a local replica and read positions without going through any server. The "peer-to-peer" claim is real now: decent-portfolio.vercel.app
