Believe it or not, There are people who are out there right now holding their breath waiting on you to fail. Let’s make a habit out of making sure they suffocate.

Life lesson. No matter what you do, people will never see you the way that you see yourself. That’s why I always make it a point to clean my mirrors before my windows.

Becoming more experienced in life is realizing that all the people who incessantly preach about their “core values” really tend not to reflect them. In fact, as you age you start to realize these same people need to spend more time on their marriage and less time on their vows.

My greatest achievements in life came when I stopped believing that I had competition. Legitimately, our biggest limitations are not grounded in effort but confidence. There is NO ONE on the planet as unique as you. You are in a class of your own. Never forget, YOU matter!

I grew up with a less than ideal viewpoint on school and education as a whole. Looking back years later I recognize education was never about dissertation or designation. Now I think of it as preparation for life. The fact is, people just respect you more when you finish.

Had a very emotional conversation this past week with a member going through some tough times. I reminded them that obstacles in our life can at times be the accelerant we need to achieve our greatest potential. Sometimes if we can’t get around it, we have to go through it.

As coaches we can get too focused on what our clients like. Options are nice but let’s be honest, doing what they like in most cases has led them to the situation that required them to need you now. Don’t get me wrong it’s nice they feel heard, but never forget YOU are the CEO.

As a rule I don’t allow negative people around me. Mother, brother, sister, it doesn’t matter. The environment you create for yourself will foster growth or elicit redundancy. Stop feeling sorry for a lack of support from those you willingly keep around. You did it to yourself.

The ugly truth is I’ve been around this industry long enough to be both celebrated and hated I’ve made and lost friends. I’ve been both looked up to, and down upon However I learned long ago the value of a person is not in their volume of likes, but their passion and principles

I can’t tell you how many times I have aimed and missed the target. Personally, professionally, it doesn’t matter. Rejection is an emotion. We create it. We allow it to fester. It doesn’t exist. Listen, you don’t stand a chance being successful if you let suck switch you up.

A message to the fit pros trying to find their way and articulate a business. Set your expectations and do not waver. If your clients aren’t in agreement, let them go. FOMO isn’t real. Those that believe in you will find you. Those that leave are just helping you make room.

Some of us will wake up in the future realizing our position in life is a direct result of our inability to practice accountability within ourselves. Others won’t let pride be the reason we fall. Experience teaches us we never needed to be perfect, we needed to be honest.

Listen, live your life unapologetically. Stop apologizing for being who you are. You don’t owe anything to anyone. Guilt is an emotion that tends to control those who care. It’s ok that other people don’t like you. Just so you know, most people don’t even like themselves.

Fit pros, Please stop putting trust in ‘clients’ that say things like: “Can I pay you on the side?” “Is there something we can do about the price?” Those who actually respect you will never jeopardize your livelihood. Get rid of them. You’ll be fine. Greatness is contagious.

I have grown to accept that success is a group effort not an individual accolade. Your potential is cultivated by those around you. Your choice determines your outcome. They serve as parasites or catalysts. Never forget, everybody wants to win, but not everybody wants to work.

One of life’s great lessons is loss. We need to start normalizing letting people go Whether colleagues, friends or family, move on with confidence. You do not exist as simply a resource for others Surround yourself with people who appreciate withdrawals but are there to deposit

We have a tendency to enter the fitness industry looking for careers/clients that fit our standard of expectation. Don’t fall in love with what you THINK a business ‘should look like’. That will only lead to disappointment. Fall in love with the people that make it what it is.
