Wow, are you serious? That’s awesome. I can’t believe you were all the way up here! Most people don’t make it this far up! That’s so cool. Tough mosquitos! Beautiful and quiet. My kids and I were farther south on the way out and stopped at this amazing lake in the Ottawa forest near Wisconsin border. Just pristine.

I think part of the reason why kids are worse when they watch tv / screens is because they get used to passively receiving the world without having to engage in any way at all so when they have to they glitch out and are just worse at being engaging people. I’ve noticed it with my own kids and they basically never watch the screen. There is a half-life period to the screen and its impact. Scaling out and imagining total saturation - this is probably part of why kids (and then people) are just so weird. Too much passive reception of the world.

I don't really remember my dreams these days. I imagine I have them, I have to, but I don't remember them. So effectively I don't dream. I used to talk in my sleep a lot. I still do sometimes, though less than I did. When I talked a lot in my sleep I used to be either really nice or really mean. My wife would tell me about both manifestations and I would just shake my head having no clue what she was talking about. Kids sleep so deeply. I wake mine up and they are like zombies or some kind of mechanical device whose gears aren't lined up right. Sleep, dreams, and our consciousness while sleeping are some of the craziest things. In Jewish thought sleep is thought of as 1/60th of death. In the morning we thank God for returning our soul to us, like it is stuck between the somewhere else and the here with us. I see why 1/60th of death would make sense. We are kind of ourselves and kind of not. The world of dreams, the world of partial death. It's a strange place.

I am sure it has been written about ad nauseam but more research needs to be conducted as to how man can reasonably regulate the temperature in his hotel room without it being either way too hot or way too cold. We've yet to perfect it and have much yet to learn.
