@claudeai's new Claude Science app just answered a question I'd asked several bioinformaticians for help with, with no luck. Our son carries a rare de novo point mutation, and I wanted to know if it came from mom or dad. Claude Science ran a read-backed phasing analysis on our trio WGS data: it found a SNP 301bp away with good coverage, homozygous in mom and heterozygous in dad. The same reads carrying his de novo variant also carried the heterozygous allele at that SNP - question answered. This is going to speed up workflows tremendously for people doing real science and it's just getting started!

Temescal is just down the road from us with so many great spots, but alas, we rarely go beside for food pickup (+ dropping off my ballot) as we worry about car windows getting smashed. Golden Gate Donuts, another decades-old family-run classic, has been raided at least a couple times in recent memory. So much room for improvement and I think your plan will help get us there!
