i got the better end of the fibro deal, and i still have 4 suicide attempts under my belt because of it. you cannot understand the mental anguish of being aware of your body's slow decline. you can never establish a routine or a work plan because it fibro slowly chips at it. and when you have a flare up, all is lost, and you have to start over again at a worst point. its a never ending cycle that sucks the soul out of you.

okay so you dont have fibro, you dont know what its like, you dont know the pain, the mental burden of slowly losing your ability to do things because the pain gradually gets worse. if you cannot understand what the illness entails, i dont think you should be talking about it. fibro cannot be cured, it can at best be managed. its lifelong, once it starts, its just a ticking clock to a very miserable end. treatment often has higher costs to your quality of life. and that treatment barely makes things tolerable. this "decision" comes from the desire not to be in pain, not to have brain fog so bad, you can feel your brain sut down. instead of talking about ideals, what should and shouldnt happen, maybe look at things realistically. there is nothing he can do.
