The rent cap is being lifted in Scotland on April 1st. Already we have had two people get in touch. One with a 58% rent increase from £900 - £1425 One with a 37% increase form £950 - £1300 We cannot rely on the market to regulate rents. Join Living Rent to fight back.

Disrepair causes mould and damp - not tenants. So often tenants are blamed with landlords saying that “[you] need to take more care when having a bath or shower” or that it is due to your “lifestyle” or in one case because the tenant had “boiled potatoes”.

Great work from @Living_Rent Partick, was appalled (personally and professionally) when i first heard about the sham consultation/survey that @PartickHA put out to justify the rent increase... negotiation as it should be done, all power to the tenants✊️

Tomorrow social landlords will be increasing rents across the country. Today - Partick Housing Association tenants protested their 7% rent hike! Social landlords are now able to increase rents up to inflation after @scotgov cancelled the rent freeze for social tenants.
