Mr Jaitley says he does not understand why previous governments could not implement GST. Answer is simple: because the BJP opposed GST tooth and nail and obstructed it for 5 years until May 2014.

@PChidambaram_IN NDA Government believes in Digital Economy! We all agree it's a good initiative. Was it not common sense to have a digital system to collect taxes, which is revenue to the country. 300crore transactions with manual forms. It is poor implementation

@PChidambaram_IN Far beyond this discussion ! Just by naming it GST does not become GST. In principle it means "one nation one tax". People have to carry tax manual to understand tax on each product/service.

9. We are asked to believe that a loan of Rs 43,000 will create an additional job! If the ‘new’ worker is paid less-than-minimum wage of Rs 5,000 a month, the loan will evaporate in eight months! Can an investment of Rs 43,000 generate additional income of Rs 5,000 per month?
