🚀 AWS just dropped AWS Blocks A new open-source TypeScript framework that changes how we build full-stack apps on AWS. Write once in TS → run locally in seconds → deploy to real AWS with zero changes. No more heavy infra setup just to test auth + DB + realtime. This one’s big. Core Idea: Pre-built, composable Blocks (20+ ready modules) that are fully type-safe. - Database (PGlite local → Postgres prod) - Auth (email, social, SSO) - Realtime (WebSockets) - File Storage (S3-like) - Async/Cron Jobs - AI Agents + KnowledgeBase (Ollama local → Bedrock) - Observability, Email, and more All composable and progressively customizable down to raw CDK. What it solves: - Painfully slow local dev loops on AWS - "Works on my machine" → prod drift - Massive boilerplate & context switching - Type safety nightmares between layers - Friction when building AI/agent workflows Basically brings Next.js/Vercel-style DX to AWS backends. A good breakdown of containers and microVM landscape - emirb.github.io/blog/microvm-2…. I've been out of the Kube land for a bit, are people running workloads on MicroVMs? Seems no different from the ECS vs. Lambda decision that many make on AWS.

@jessfraz Maybe I give too much credit but I feel like Anthropic sees something we don't here. 1M ARR 😕 Did they patent something around agent identity or a new protocol? Else this is a small acquihire and a major defensive move just before IPO to block competitors from this tech?
The last couple weeks were busy for the Kiro team, with 35 updates shipped in the changelog. The two big ones I'm most excited about: 1) Kiro Web preview - Autonomous agent mode - Cloud sandboxes - Direct integration with GitHub 2) New ways to practice spec-driven development - New Quick Plan mode - New spec analysis that catches logical inconsistencies, ambiguities, and conflicting constraints Catch up at kiro.dev/changelog
@Zoom Full screen on share should be an option (I would uncheck). Focus should just be removed. Happy to provide more concrete examples or jump on a call
@Zoom frustrates me 🙉 daily. Don't focus my keyboard/mouse on incoming calls or full screen when someone shares theirs. As I type this, Zoom forced me to click back to X because a screen was shared. How is this not your #1 requested fix? This is reverse productivity.
