@ToddWitteles @HarlingMayss @pokysticks @phil_hellmuth @WSOP 1) Well over 2% of the people I know have LC atm. 2) Recovery rates after 8mths become v. poor. 3) Cutoffs differ among studies. Only some studies count brain fog, allergies, and nervous dysfunction. 4) Lots of missed diagnosis cus they don't know the symptoms or believe in LC.

@ToddWitteles @HarlingMayss @pokysticks @phil_hellmuth @WSOP The no. of poker players who tweet about LC, isn't a very useful stat. Studies suggest 2-14% of ppl have LC, probs lowballing tho. For prevention: mask, vaxx, distancing within reason helps a bit. Main thing needed is more funding, research, & education of doctors on treatments.

@ToddWitteles @HarlingMayss @pokysticks @phil_hellmuth @WSOP Not a 2022 theory. I live with someone disabled by COVID in 2024. The SARS viruses are nasty. I get that it's a frightening and inconvenient reality, but it's the one we're currently stuck with. Panicking definitely doesn't help, but neither does burying your head in the sand.

@ToddWitteles @HarlingMayss @pokysticks @phil_hellmuth @WSOP We absolutely are seeing widespread immune issues, heart issues, and ME/CFS due to LC. One estimate put the number affected by LC at 14%. It doesn't have to disable everyone who gets it to cost the country billions in lost workdays and cause enormous human suffering.

@Liv_Boeree English spelling *usually* respects a word's origin. "Connexion" and "connect" come from separate Latin words ("conexio" and "conectere"). Hence the old spelling. No one learns Latin anymore, people start thinking "connection" comes from English "connect." The spelling changes.
