@JohanHWB Thanks. Good ideas. Especially, in iOS 9 where you can easily go back to the previous app, that option makes a lot of sense.
@Pushpin_app I tried relying on Apple's basic auth or putting the auth in the URL and it didn't work for me. AFNetworking also works afaik.
@Pushpin_app I just started to set the auth header manually and as long as I base64 encode the unescaped unicode password, it works for me.

@Pgruneich No, sorry. If you have a good idea for a use case, I can implement it in the next version though.
@Pgruneich What do you mean exactly? I use x-callback-url when I open links in different apps, I don't have it myself.
@Pushpin_app Yes! I had to work around like 3 Cocoa bugs during development. They’re the most frustrating ones… Especially that unicode one.

@Pushpin_app You need to set the basic auth header manually, the NSURLCredential stuff doesn’t work with unicode for some reason.
@Pushpin_app Btw, if you’re wondering why some users can’t log in, Pushpin doesn’t work with unicode passwords. I had the same problem.

The hardest part about writing that post on @pinbrowser was stopping myself from reading all the great @Pinboard links by those I follow.
