@DadOfAubrey @SandsUK I don’t disagree with you, and neither I suspect do Sands, hence their framing. Plus I misread it the first time I read it. What’s not a credible framing is “the target has been missed”, when the evidence isn’t yet out. It’s important to deal in facts, I think, not speculation?

Similarly, registrars have a wide range of responsibilities, and the existence of this one (albeit a tragic one) does not negate all the other aspects of their role. 2/

@DadOfAubrey @CiaraOnly1 @KenZeroHarm @UKChange Sorry, I should have been clearer - many units around the country facilitate the attendance of a Registrar to hospital *before a family goes home* I expect you’re right about the 2 reasons some units don’t have this, so again the Q is “what needs to happen to make this happen?”

This option is widely available across the country now.

There’s still so much to do. I only hope that in the weeks and months to come, we’ll see different, conflicting, agendas put to one side and a universal focus on building the system up to make it better emerges - because *that’s* how we make things better for families too.
