The Recall Dallas Brodie campaign got so desperate at the end they started obviously staging photos pretending signs were being vandalized. Sorry but who rips a sign out of the ground to then gently place it and a dead tree in an above ground pool? Where is the security camera tape? This strikes me as a home owner was bring a dead tree to their compost bin and realized they had a good opportunity for a photo but also didn't want to get too crazy with it so there wouldn't be too much dirt to clean up in the pool, and they still wanted the sign to be in tact so they could keep it afterward.
