Getting rich isn't very difficult. People think it's some Herculean task. You literally just need to do the obvious thing at the right time. For me doing the obvious thing was going all in crypto in 2016. It wasn't difficult, I just had to do the simple task of setting up an exchange account and buy crypto. The next obvious thing is looking you right in the eyes. BTC at 1K was obvious in 2016-2017, for anyone with a sense of financial magnitude/size. 21 billion MC for the world's hardest and most decentralization currency? Obvious play. Now imagine, the money supply is significantly larger 10 years later, while the government is printing significantly more, and there's a global decentralized currency that is as hard as Bitcoin (fairer launch btw) but with additional security/privacy features, and it's at 6 billion MC. That currency is called Zcash. Probably the most obvious play I have ever seen. Don't make this more complicated than it needs to be. Zigher.

I trust Zcash more after it disclosed a critical vulnerability. And Ironwood gave me one more reason to stay. A solid team and audits are no longer enough. AI changed the security game. Every new generation expands what attackers and defenders can find. Then it becomes a race: who finds it first, and what happens next. Zcash just set one of the best examples: Thursday, May 28: Anthropic released Opus 4.8. On Friday, @DefuseSec used it to audit Orchard. He found a soundness bug and privately disclosed it to ZODL. By Saturday morning, the @zodl_co team was on it. Developers coordinated with miners and infrastructure providers. Orchard was disabled on Monday. The fixed circuit was live on Tuesday. Five days from model release to live fix. That could have been the end of the story. But exactly 60 days after discovery, Ironwood went live. @Zcash launched a new shielded pool allowing anyone running a node to verify that no more than the correct amount of ZEC can circulate, with independent audits and formal verification. No serious protocol gets to promise “no bugs” anymore. AI killed that fantasy. I want to be close to protocols that try to break themselves before somebody else does, with teams fast enough to fix and ambitious enough to turn hard lessons into better architecture. Zcash is here to stay.
