I think this is very much unnecessary now tho. I can use my mba air for 2 days and then charge it in 25 minutes. I am a die hard thinkpad fan don't get me wrong, but todays batteries/tech/optimization are just far superior to carrying around a spare battery like this
There are roughly three ways to understand human behavior, interactions, and artefacts: the technical, the social, and the moral.
Technical is the programmer obsession and what drives Silicon Valley, the idea being that if you don't understand the technicalities of a system, you don't understand it. Understanding based on what the system is comprised of and designed to do.
Social is the financier's obsession and what drives Wall Street, the idea being that if you don't understand how the system has and will influence people and behavior regardless of its composition and design, you don't understand it. Understanding based on what the system actually does.
Moral is the humanities' obsession and what drives academia, the idea being that if you don't understand the morality of the system and its outcomes in moral terms, you don't understand it. Understanding based on what the system should do.
Everyone errs by focusing too much on one of these kinds of understanding, and the errors come in two forms: either denigrating the other kinds of understanding or overweighting your preferred kind of understanding.
Overweighting your preference is inevitable and equally common across all three perspectives. But I'd say the moral and the technical approaches tend to denigrate the others much more than the social. But ofc I'd say this because I privilege the social approach, so I am likely to be wrong.
But note I am saying I am likely to be wrong. I hear WS people say this a lot. Among SV and uni types? Almost never.
@pzrsaa and I often prefer to work on a couch on my mba air as well so then I use the mba keyboard but at my desk I rlly do enjoy using my voyager (also using vim binds, tmux, fully keyboard driven computer use)
@pzrsaa I agree with this to a certain point but I just have my voyager layout same as any normal keyboard and just enjoy having it split and high quality, that's about it
very busy past couple days / next couple days, finishing my bachelors, moving apartments, visiting Czech Republic so obviously I'm online far less, will back more soon tho !
Every decision that EU and its leaders make is fundamentally wrong, and it's solving the wrong problem.
The only thing that's changing here is that chinese products are more expensive for the end customer.
ONCE AGAIN, this is no way at all an incentive for EU businesses to create more value, because the same EU has spent decades making it harder, slower, more expensive, with endless bureaucracy, regulation on top of regulation...
leaving us with literally 0 incentive to produce.
Instead of fixing THAT, the solution is once again, TAX THE CONSUMER!
I always like to remember that quote by Steve Jobs: "The world is built by people no smarter than you", clearly, because eu parliament is brimming with idiots who created nothing but moronic policies all their lives.
Taxing the end customer is just admitting that you can't compete, and we won't be able to compete, so we make the competition more expensive instead!
Good job!
Our industry can't survive without making everyone else poorer, so maybe the problem isn't the imports.
From today, customs duties apply to e-commerce parcels worth up to €150 entering the EU.
30 million Europeans work in retail; it's our our largest private-sector employer.
And the surge in low-value online imports has put our retailers at an unfair disadvantage.

That stupid bitch is destroying every technical hobby. Need to order components? Every line item in the invoice gets a 3€ fee. 10 cents worth of resistors now cost you 3.10€.... This adds up quick...
