🚨 Andrew Tate Case Update Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors (DIICOT) have announced new human trafficking and money laundering allegations in Andrew Tate's criminal case. According to the official DIICOT press release, prosecutors have expanded the investigation to include a new alleged victim and allegations relating to over 13 million lei and €370,000 allegedly laundered through companies controlled by the defendants. Full press release below: Referring to previous communications issued on 21 August 2024, 22 August 2024, 30 August 2024, and 28 May 2026, the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) informs the public of the following: On 17 June 2026, prosecutors from DIICOT's Central Structure decided to expand the criminal investigation to include the offenses of: - Human trafficking - Money laundering New Human Trafficking Allegation According to the investigation, a 39-year-old British citizen: In the first part of 2017: - Took advantage of a victim's obvious vulnerability, including - lack of family support, - psychological trauma stemming from the absence of a father figure, - lack of financial resources, Recruited her by falsely leading her to believe he intended to establish a romantic relationship with her. The prosecutors allege that the recruitment was done for the purpose of sexual exploitation. They further allege that the defendant later used emotional coercion and emotional blackmail to induce the victim to: - Perform pornographic acts, - Produce sexually explicit material, - Engage in webcam/videochat work on a specialized platform. DIICOT also alleges that during the period of exploitation: - The defendant housed the victim in Ilfov County (near Bucharest), - Provided the equipment and logistical support necessary for her videochat activities. New Money Laundering Allegation DIICOT states that between May 2018 and October 2022: - The defendant and a co-defendant who is a relative Established two companies In order to conceal and disguise the illegal origin of money allegedly obtained through human trafficking and to integrate those funds into the legitimate economy. According to prosecutors: - More than 13 million Romanian lei and €370,000 - Were introduced into the companies as purported loans from the defendants. The transfers were allegedly made exclusively through bank transactions. Alleged Use of Funds The investigation alleges that the defendants used these funds through company and personal bank accounts to purchase: - Land - Buildings - Services - Vehicles - A four-story apartment building (ground floor + four levels) with a total value exceeding: - 13 million lei - Approximately €360,000 DIICOT alleges these assets were formally placed in the companies' ownership but were actually used exclusively for the personal benefit of the defendants, including: - Renovating and furnishing their residence, - Purchasing vehicles, - Purchasing services, - Acquiring other personal-use goods, without any genuine connection to the declared business activities of the companies. Procedural Note The investigation is being carried out jointly with organized crime police from Ilfov. DIICOT concludes by reminding the public that all investigated persons benefit from: - The procedural rights guaranteed by Romanian law, - The presumption of innocence.
