Honrados al participar de la noche de reconocimiento de Techos Pa' Mi Gente. Agradecemos el trabajo que realizan para la recuperación de los sobrevivientes de desastres.
Durante el dia de hoy nuestro Presidente y Interim CEO de National VOAD participó de la sesión del FEMA Review Council para dar una perspectiva desde la visión de las Organizaciones Voluntarias.
Comenzamos a traer productos al almacén de Puerto Rico VOAD para preposicionar artículos esenciales ante cualquier desastre. Esta acción nos permitirá responder con mayor rapidez y eficiencia cuando nuestras comunidades más lo necesiten. #PuertoRicoVOAD #Resiliencia #Preparación
Gracias a todos los que participaron de la Conferencia Anual 2025. Participación de toda la isla incluyendo las islas municipios de Vieques y Culebra. Además participantes de Seattle, Texas, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Maryland entre otros estados. Y también desde España 🇪🇸.
Nuestro presidente participó esta semana de la conferencia anual de la International Association of Emergency Managers.
Nuestro presidente participó de un intercambio de conocimientos entre los responsables de manejar emergencias en #Taiwan y organizaciones del movimiento VOAD. Como parte de la actividad intercambiaron obsequios entre Taiwan y #PuertoRico.
Day 1 - Arrival Day Executive Director, Peter Gudaitis and Director of Faith Sector Resilience, Dr Lucy Cummings are part of a delegation including @prvoad and @NationalVOAD invited by @TzuChiUSA to learn about their climate resilience and social enterprise best practices that can be used in NYC and Puerto.
Climate Resilience & VOAD Delegation Visit with @TzuChiUSA. Day 2: We started Thursday in Taoyuan, visiting a paper recycling plant - and then took a bullet train south to Tainan to tour a plant that transforms recycled plastics into resilient construction materials. We also toured a @_TzuChi school with gardens and playgrounds built with these materials. Both enterprises are climate resilience corporate-private partnerships that use volunteers to collect and sort recycling goods that are then manufactured and sold to fund humanitarian work across the globe - saving our environment from pollutants and saving millions of trees. #VOADMovement #NYDIS @NationalVOAD @prvoad @NYVOAD

La semana pasada participamos del foro de seguridad alimentaria de la organización Nutriendo•PR. Nuestro presidente alertó sobre las serias dificultades alimentadias luego del paso de un desastre. Agrademos por la invitación y por crear conciencia sobre un tema tan importante.
Hoy recordamos a miles de personas muertas tras el paso del huracán Maria. Hoy recordamos las lagrimas y la frustración, pero también la esperanza de un nuevo tiempo.
Una reunión muy productiva con la junta del LTRG 1 sobre los casos que están atendiendo y los próximos pasos del grupo.
Hoy comenzamos la implementación del Puerto Rico VOAD Emergency Coordination Center desde las facilidades de SEND Puerto Rico. Agradecidos de continuar expandiendo el servicio. Estamos activos ante el paso de la tormenta tropical Ernesto.
Hoy el presidente de nuestra organización participó de una muy productiva reunión con el comisionado de @NMEADpr , el Sr. Nino Correa, como parte de los acuerdos de colaboración entre ambos entes. Estuvo presente en la reunión el Director del CAO @femaregion2 Sr. Orlando Olivera
Esta semana nuestro Presidente participó del Natural Hazard Workshops organizados por @HazCenter de la Universidad de Colorado.
Ayer participamos de la Cumbre del Voluntariado organizada por la Comisión del Voluntariado y Servicio Comunitario de Fortaleza.
