Because half the church doesn't believe miracles are for today. No faith, no miracles. This is skepticism, unbelief, and doubt at work. Some sects of the church do believe for, seek, and witness miracles. Faith is the conduit of God's power. Salvations are wonderful, but are not defined as miracles. When people don't witness actual miracles, they will change the definition to include salvations so they can point to something. With that said, salvations are far more important than miracles.

There is nothing more American than blowing up the entire GDP of a small country to celebrate our 250th Independence Day. 'Merica.

In the same way it's foolish to caveat celebrating your wife on Mother's Day by acknowledging her faults ("I know she really has a temper and is kind of a slob, but she's still a great mom!")... You don't have to caveat before celebrating your country on 250.

I think my new pet peeve is people having to make qualifying statements before posting anything about the 4th of July. For whom, exactly? I’m gonna do that on your birthday.

Happy Independence Day 250!! Thank you, God, for the miracle of America. We were in fact founded on Christian principles and it was because 'In God We Trust' that we have succeeded all the way to 250. Though we have strayed, may we return to the moorings that made and kept this great nation. Let our future be with God so we can enter and sustain the Golden Age of the land of the free and the home of the brave!
