I read @Huntai7 article on PS5 VR2, and his article checks all the boxes except the most interesting: can it be used with a normal PC, and how can developers use it for anything not bound to Sony. Putting $700 into a headset that I cant code for seems excessive. Bricked is bad.

@AncientPuzzles @Statindobvious Look at a video from thailand and the tsunami. Now multiply that by 50.000, then look at the scablands and imagine the weight it took to carve out those canyons. Sure some could, but it will require a lot of work finding it. Which i hope we do

@LaArqueologa @ArchaeologyGame I guess you better call the Dalai Lama and inform him that white tara is racist, while green tara, red tara and yellow tara is ok. You seem oblivious to the function of color wrt deities, which is more or less universal between cultures going back to the caves. Pathetic.

@LaArqueologa @ArchaeologyGame My field is comparative religion, which you should probably have some experience with. We track not just historical knowledge, but first and foremost migration of ideas and doctrine and their associated motifs. You are dead wrong about Hancock. You should know better.

@AncientPuzzles @Statindobvious 7. Mythical islands that are said to have sunk in the ocean. This is an almost universal theme between india, egypt, china and latin america. But obviously comparative religion (albeit a wing of archeology) does not operate with the same criteria. But there is a trail there.

@AncientPuzzles @Statindobvious You have a pyramid building epoc which stretches from China to latin america. Featuring more or less the same motif, of "gods mountain" with a bull at it's foot, coupled with a sphinx like creature. From Sinai to Northern india and China you find these symbols.

@AncientPuzzles @Statindobvious 5. Once you get to Egypt, you find a slightly different implementation, but that appears already at the beginning. And you likewise find the exact same symbolism in latin america, and further in china.

@AncientPuzzles @Statindobvious 4. The common denominator is the 5 chakra system, which predated the 7 chakra system that later evolved via saivism and abhinavigupta. Which more or less all the greek and later religions are based on. But you find the symbolism carved in stone at baalbek which pre-dates that.

@AncientPuzzles @Statindobvious 3. When you start to compare cultures based on religious ideas and migration of doctrine, the picture becomes very different. And you end up with "doctrine x" pretty fast. Meaning that the disciplina arcani appears extremely early, more or less fully developed

@AncientPuzzles @Statindobvious 2. You see, in my fied, which is comparative religion, we track symbolism and esoteric knowledge right along side historical facts. But there is a distinct point where written info vanishes into the mist of time. Only symbols in stone and motifs are then left to tell the tale.

@AncientPuzzles @Statindobvious Obviously doctrines differ, but the underlying mechanics of the religions and their motifs are more or less identical. That alone is not evidence of a perennial civilization, but that the doctrine migrated. From where is then the question, and how old is the disciplina arcani?
