Context: I don’t have a formal bio background, but I’m starting my independent training in wet lab (& a bit of bioinformatics) and would like a bit of orientation to decide what to focus/experiment on. The goal would be to become minimally hireable by a lab or startup that focuses in the niche I would like to build in in the future. Ideally I would learn/understand what labs like Church’s or Doudna’s are focusing on (tools, targets, etc) and base my training around that. (but I would also appreciate help finding other labs aligned with my interests that might be more approacheable!)
