@dynarski Much of the pitch to attend college, ‘move up in the financial class rank’ = misdirection. It’s yet another headfake; it’s a transfer of small pieces of wealth from the middle and lower $$ percentiles to the shareholder class. I don’t have an econ. degree, but i’ve done the math

@susanbgarland @nytimes @nytimesbusiness A reverse mortgage is a con to separate assets from elderly people. There are far better ways for elderly people to access their lifetime of house equity appreciation. It’s astonishing and shameful that the NYT now abets the scammery which plagues our elders.
