That’s not my understanding. Tokens taken off the market, whether going through an exchange or an OTC transaction, still take tokens out of circulation. I feel like the real conversation should be around the governance for what the foundation does with the tokens once they are acquired
@Merstradamous @CryptoFatWhale1 @XNETMachina This is not correct as I understand XIP-13. Buy pressure is maintained. And if there is some secret deal to get investment in, I’m not aware of it. I think you should take this up with the @xnet_fdn
Deployers will always have the option of selling tokens. But some deployers would prefer to deal with the XNET Foundation directly and not have to worry about token sales on the public market, thus making what looks like a cash transaction. This will unlock more large deployers who don't want the overhead of dealing with token sales. Second, tokens acquired through buying will be subject to Foundation governance, with the option of burning or locking them up long-term. All token holders, especially the Foundation, benefits from the long-term value accrual. But the value only goes up if two things happen: (1) the network and offload grow, and (2) sell pressure is managed. Buy-and-burn can work to manage sell pressure, but is always going to run out since the burn can't go forever. We need to transition to a foundation-managed buy-and-hold process sooner or later, and doing it now means we can make sure the governance is working properly
@RNDRSHARK @Merstradamous @XNETMachina XIP-13 allows the @xnet_fdn to address the large deployer dumping that is driving the token price down while also continuing to grow the network and offload revenue. The tokens that are acquired but not burned will be subject to governance. It's a good plan.

XIP-13 doesn’t change offload-driven buy pressure, it changes what the @xnet_fdn does with the tokens it buys. Burning can’t go on forever - it’s better to empower the foundation to deploy those tokens through a real governing process, hence XIP-13
XIP-13 also proposes that Treasury Book decisions ultimately be governed by long-term stakeholders through staking-based governance. The objective is simple: Align operators, token holders, and the Foundation around growing offload, building treasury assets, and increasing the
