I don’t understand why players pass on college offers when a coach truly wants them. If the financial package is good and you have a real opportunity to play, take it. Stop chasing the bigger logo. Too many players end up in the transfer portal 10 months later.

IEPs are a bureaucratic checkbox to show parents and the government that schools care about kids with special needs. In reality, they are unrealistic, generic, don’t help, and just add work for teachers. Millions of dollars are spent on lawyers, advocates, and teachers to write these useless documents. This money could fund student programs or raise teacher pay. But our system prioritizes lawsuits and bureaucracy over children.

As I have said in the past, the field of special education is 95% nonsense: useless paperwork no one looks at, IEPs with no grounding in reality, and overworked, underpaid teachers. The education system is failing students with disabilities most of all.

The dumbest trend in math education might be the idea that students shouldn't memorize math facts because that's just "rote" and not what "real mathematicians do" Find me a professional mathematician who hasn't learned 6x7=42 to automaticity

It feels very unfair that the strongest teachers often get the worst-behaved and lowest-performing students, especially if they raise test scores and rarely write referrals. I saw my upcoming roster this year and felt sick.

Kids don’t need another 10 minutes of lunges, skips, and stretches they’ve done 100 times. Give them games that demand cutting, reacting, accelerating, and solving movement problems. Athleticism is built by doing athletic things.
