Working on layout designs for MPR Media, a B2B digital marketing agency.
One thing I always test: does the brand still work on different backgrounds? Here it's light gray and bold orange: same headline style, same mark, same feel either way.
A lot of B2B brands only look good on the website. Drop the logo onto a colored slide or a deck, and it falls apart. Building this one so it holds up everywhere it'll get used: pitch decks, ads, sales materials.
One of my recent projects.
Most tech logos have a sameness problem. Rounded sans-serif, a gradient, maybe a lowercase letter doing something clever with a dot. Nobody remembers which one belongs to which company.
For Vextor, the mark needed to hold up two ways: as a bold wordmark against something unexpected and as a laconic icon clean enough to survive at cap-embroidery size — no fine detail to lose. A wordmark for the deck, an icon for the merch, no compromise between them.
Tech is one of the industries I keep coming back to — not because it needs to look "modern," but because it needs to look specific, at every size a growing company will actually use it.
Most logos are designed to look good on a laptop screen and nowhere else. Then the founder wonders why the brand feels thin the moment it hits the real world.
UrbanWeld needed something different — a mark that could sit on a business card and still hold up on the side of a 40-foot building, without losing its weight.
I built it on interlocking geometric forms, borrowed from the structural logic of the steel this company works with. Paired it with a bold red against deep industrial tones — visible from a moving vehicle, credible in a boardroom.
Two weeks later: same mark, same clarity, at every size it touched.
If your brand only works on a screen, it isn't a system yet. It's a graphic waiting to be tested.
This is branding for a company that isn't just researching the future – they are engineering it. Meridian Bio is at the forefront of biotechnology and their brand needed to reflect that authority.
I have one branding slot open for the coming month.
What if a high-tech industrial company chose pink as a brand color?
Most manufacturing and infrastructure companies play it safe: navy, charcoal, maybe a corporate blue.
For Vextor, a next-gen manufacturing infrastructure platform built for global scale, I made a different call.
Pink & bold. Because it creates instant contrast in a sea of grey B2B sameness. Because it signals: this company thinks differently about what industrial tech can look like.
I need to tell you about the massive fail during my first @Framer template launch 🫣
Spent about a week grinding on the design, finally hit submit and sent it for review. Done, right?
I’d been checking the status all week, only to realize I’d accidentally nuked the project while cleaning up old versions a few days ago. And yeah, I emptied the archive too. 💀
Total panic mode. A week of work just evaporated. I’m not even kidding.
The only thing that saved me was my Figma file. I went full beast mode and rebuilt the entire thing from scratch in 24 hours. ⚡️
Luckily, the template just got accepted and it’s officially LIVE on the marketplace! 😅
Finally! My first @framer template Obscur is now on the Marketplace! I'll give you a link, get a free remix!
