Hey everyone, good afternoon. I'm still trying to process the unexpected news I received last night, especially after getting several DMs today about the situation involving a very good friend of mine, Joseph Poliquin. As some of you may know, Joseph is the actor who played Carl in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie and was also supposed to be a Season 2 guest on The Indie Horror Talk Podcast. Joseph is currently in the hospital recovering after suffering a severe seizure, and his wife, Brittany, has been by his side while also caring for their family and children. From the updates I've seen, there have also been concerns regarding his memory, and it genuinely hurts knowing that he's going through something like this. I'm incredibly thankful that he's still here and continuing to recover. Joseph is so much more than what people may know him for. He's a loving, gentle, and incredibly kind person who has always gone out of his way to treat others with compassion, and I was fortunate enough to experience that friendship myself. We first met through a Twitter Space around 2024, and eventually became friends around June or August of 2025. That summer was truly special to me, and I'll always be grateful for the memories we shared. I still never got the chance to have Joseph on our show, even though we had talked about doing an interview together, and that has been weighing heavily on me. I truly hope that once he's fully recovered, we'll still have the opportunity to make that happen someday.
