Our warriors began Ukraine’s Constitution Day with great accuracy. Last night, our long-range sanctions reached two oil refineries in Russia. The Slavyansk oil refinery in the Krasnodar region was hit – about 300 kilometers from the frontline. We also reached a refinery in the Yaroslavl region, approximately 700 kilometers from our border. We continue our operations that weaken Russia’s ability to wage this war. Each of our long-range sanctions means fewer resources serving Russia’s war machine, and another step toward peace. We will continue to respond to Russian terror. I thank our warriors for these results! I am grateful to everyone who helps us. He was strong enough to bench press 190 kilograms. But the greatest weight he ever carried was the responsibility of defending Ukraine. Ukrainian powerlifter Mykhailo Malkush has been killed in action. He was known as one of Ukraine's strongest junior bench press athletes in the 59 kg weight class. A European Junior Champion, World Championship medalist, and Ukrainian record holder, Mykhailo set a national record by bench pressing 190 kilograms at the Ukrainian Cup in Kolomyia. Many more records, international competitions, and podium finishes lay ahead of him. But like thousands of Ukrainian athletes, he made a choice that cannot be measured in medals. He chose to defend his country. Today, Ukraine has lost not only a gifted athlete. It has lost a young man who could have brought glory to his nation on the world's sporting stages, but instead gave his life so that his nation could continue to exist. It is especially heartbreaking to realize how many young, strong, and talented Ukrainians this war continues to take—people who could have trained future champions, broken new records, built families, and shaped the country's future. Russia is not only killing soldiers. It is destroying a generation of Ukrainian champions. Rest in peace, Mykhailo Malkush. This would be big news. In Moscow, General Leonov 'fell out of a window'. He was one of Russia's most important military commanders and was in charge of the country's air defence forces. He was also involved in shooting down of MH17 by Russian forces in eastern Ukraine in 2014. If he has been eliminated in Moscow, every Russian commander should feel threatened. That's good...

© Today we covered a Russian soldier with earth. He had been lying near our position for a month and a half. On a nasty February evening, he was wandering along the tree lines near our positions and came into view of a neighboring position. While already being tracked by a Ukrainian drone, he unexpectedly turned in our direction. My position had been flooded at the time, and standing knee-deep in cold water, I had to leave my dry bunk and move to the exit. The radio connection was unreliable, but I could hear all the commands and information from the command post that was tracking the wanderer with the drone. I just couldn't respond. A round is always chambered. Waiting. The crack of branches. Footsteps. Safety off. A dark silhouette against the deep blue night sky. I aimed at him the way you aim at the outline of a little ship in those arcade games where you fire torpedoes. That was my favorite attraction as a child. The distance was minimal. A burst of fire. His cry. “Our guys, our guys!” No, wanderer. All of my guys are either at home or right here behind my back. I threw a grenade toward the sound of his wailing and heard nothing more from him. The only anxiety I felt then was about the confirmation drop from our drone. I understood—after all, no one was going to carry him back. In fact, my only emotion is surprise at the absence of emotions. No joy, no pity, no sadness, no satisfaction. I thought the first time would be different. But perhaps that only applies to people. I have never killed a person. So the Russian lay there, just ten meters from our position, for a month and a half. I never went up to him. I don't know his name, where he was from, or what kind of man he was. He simply started to become a problem because of the smell, so today he was covered with soil.
