On March 12, 2023, 64-year-old Mariko Yugeta completed the Nagoya Women's Marathon in 3:04:30, just seven days after finishing the Tokyo Marathon in 3:04:16 (winning her 60-64 age category). Prior to these, on February 26, she ran the Himeji Castle Marathon in 3:03:56! #running
In 2003, at age 72, he became the first person over 70 to run a marathon in under 3 hours (2:59:10). At 85, he ran a marathon in 3:56:34, setting another world record for his age group. #Running
