The line continues to move further east, swallowing more land and placing entire communities under constant threat. Children in shelters and camps wake up covered in bites. Parents spend hours trying to clean their surroundings, only to find pests returning again and again. When thousands of people are forced to live without proper sanitation, drainage, waste removal, or permanent housing, keeping vermin away becomes nearly impossible. The consequences are more than discomfort. Scratching insect bites can lead to skin infections. Small bites can become serious medical problems. For children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses, these conditions create yet another threat to their health and dignity. On June 17, The Sameer Project distributed 50 hygiene parcels to 50 families living in Rashad Al-Shawa Camp in North Gaza at a total cost of $1,993 after 11% commission. Each parcel contained a broom, 2 packs of tissues, 2 packs of wipes, dishwashing liquid, an air freshener, bleach, shampoo, 4 bars of soap, a sponge, and laundry detergent.
