@simonahac Australia's consumer protection laws are so good that I bet you could claim for a new battery/car after 10 years because of the large cost of the car if you had a problem with it. A fridge or washing machine is expected to last over 5 years.....

@stephendziedzic yep. From 10 books a week average since I could read, to 5 a year. I can't concentrate anymore. Happened around age 48ish and a decade on and retired, it has not improved. Maybe I've read my life's quota?
