Providing integrations for a legacy system in motion much less modernizing it away requires keeping systems and processes that were never meant to see daylight in synch. Long chain dependencies in these older systems make even seemingly small changes into major projects. And now there are .NET systems that are 20 years old so it isn't just COBOL.

This reminds of the recent trend in public schools systems to where they have banned certain foods because one person has an issue with the food. Instead of making the one person responsible for themself they remove the option from everyone else causing no issue to the affected person but an issue for everyone else who was denied. Having someone else raise your issue because you cant is a serious mental and behavior issue for an open table game.
