A trading contest on Cronos ended at 05:00. We read the chain. Prizes paid 23 min later. One winner sold 40 % of its prize 57 s after payout. Another sold all of it in 22 s. 9 min later, 47.5 % of the whole prize was sold. Winners are sellers too.

Same buy. Two prices. On chain you buy from a pool, and your own buy moves the price. 1,000 CRO into a small pool can cost you ~5 %. Into a big pool, almost nothing. Before you buy, look at the pool size, not only the price.

2 trading contests ran on Cronos this week. We read the chain. Top 5 of each board: only 1 clearly in profit. Every buy + sell loop paid ~1-2 % in fees, win or lose. The prize is paid in the coin. One prize pool lost 45 % of its value. The fees always got paid.

Same name. Different coin. When a coin trends, copies with the same name and ticker often show up minutes later. The ticker means nothing. The contract address is the coin. Take it from the project's own post, never from search.

Big volume, few buyers. When a contest pays for volume, bots buy and sell the same coin in a loop. The chart looks busy. Nobody new came in. Before you chase volume, count the different wallets buying. Same wallet on both sides = a loop, not demand.

Withdrew and nothing arrived? Same coin, same address, different chain. Your coins land on the network you picked. Your own wallet: add that network and they are there. Exchange deposit on the wrong network: maybe lost. Match the network, send a small test first.

Free "claim" site? It asks you to sign, not send. No gas, so it feels safe. A Permit signature can give a stranger the right to move your tokens later. If you see Permit, a spender and an unlimited value: reject. Real airdrops don't come from DMs.

Slippage is not a fee. It is permission. Set 15% and a bot can buy right before you, push the price up to your limit, then sell right after. You pay the gap. Use the lowest slippage that fills, and check price impact before you click.
